OUR MISSION: Representing and living God's love in the Blue Ridge through worship, prayer, and service.
Good Shepherd of the Hills is one of the remaining Mountain Missions, Episcopal churches, clinics and schools that served the people of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Rev. Frederick W. Neve, Archdeacon of the Episcopal Archdeaconry of the Blue Ridge (1855-1948), founded Mission Churches throughout the Blue Ridge Mountain area. GSH continues to serve the residents of northwestern Albemarle County, Boonesville and Free Union and southwestern Greene County.

The Prayer of the Thousandfold
Almighty God, our heavenly Father, Who with Thy Son Jesus Christ hast given unto us all things in heaven and earth, we beseech Thee to make us a thousandfold more useful to Thee than ever before, so that Thy power and blessing may flow through us to multitudes of others, who are in need and also make us willing and loving servants of Thine to Thy honor and glory, for Jesus Christ’s sake. Amen.
